Thank you, PTA and Room Parents

We had a fabulous Halloween Costume Walk and party. Thank you to all of our parents who helped plan and organize the classroom celebrations.

Report Cards

Parents can access the first-trimester report cards electronically on Thursday, December 4, at 12:00 PM, via the Parent Portal. Report cards are available electronically upon the conclusion of the first and second trimesters. A printed copy will be sent home with students on the last day of the third trimester.

For instructions on accessing your child’s report card on Infinite Campus, view this 30-second video. The first section of the video is for Wood Oaks students, and the second section addresses kindergarten through fifth grade

In Summary:

  1. To access your child’s report, log in to Parent Portal.
  2. Then, on the left, click “More.” On the new main window, you can now click Online report cards.
  3. Once you click on that, you will need to select your child’s name from the drop-down menu, followed by the report card you wish to view.

Terra Nova for Second Grade Students

Dear Hickory Point Second Grade Parent,

Second-grade students will take the Terra Nova Tests between December 2 and December 5, 2025. Testing will take place throughout the day. You can help your child do their best on the test by:

  • Make sure that your child attends school on the days of testing and arrives on time. Once a testing session has begun, children may not enter the classroom until the next break. Also, unless they become ill, children should not be called out of the room or allowed to leave the classroom during a testing session. Breaks are given between tests.
  • Ensure your child gets a good night’s sleep the night before the test.
  • Providing breakfast for your child.
  • Remind your child to ask the teacher questions if they do not understand the test directions.
  • Let your child know that you have confidence in their ability to do their best.
  • Advising your child not to worry about the test - just do their best.

You will receive information about your child’s performance results in January.

Please feel free to contact your child’s teacher or us if you have any questions or would like additional information.
