Driving around school grounds
We appreciate your patience at arrival and dismissal with car drop-off and pick-up. We have over 100 students arriving and leaving school each day in the horseshoe at Hickory Point. Please make sure you are following all of our processes. Cars line up in a single file line from the north. Parents need to remain inside the vehicle. A staff member will assist your child if he/she needs assistance. When parents get out of the car, it is a safety issue.
Furthermore, please do not try to turn left from Laburnum into the car line. This is not safe. We have students and parents walking and cars trying to go around the vehicles attempting to turn left. We respectfully request you enter the pickup line from north Laburnum. Thank you!
Walk-up door at Kindergarten
At the Kindergarten Center, the main entrance (Door H) is the walk-up entrance (west side of the building). Kindergarten students who are using the walk-up door enter the building through Door H. Parents park in the main parking lot and walk to the front door each morning beginning at 8:10 am. Please do not park in the angled spots. It is unsafe because the traffic lines up in a single file to pull through the lot to access Door A. The safety of our students and families is our top priority.
Substitute Teachers Needed
District 27 is still in need of substitute teachers for the remainder of the school year. If you are interested in learning more, please contact Theresa Fournier at firstname.lastname@example.org.
